Baldwin City man criminally fined for counterfeiting

LAWRENCE – (February 14, 2020) – A Baldwin City man has been sentenced to pay a $1,000 fine and serve 12 months probation for misdemeanor counterfeiting, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said today. Brian E. Glenn, 44, yesterday pleaded guilty in Douglas County District Court to one misdemeanor count of counterfeiting. District Judge Amy Hanley accepted the plea and sentenced Glenn to pay a $1,000 fine and serve 12 months probation with an underlying prison sentence of 12 months in the Douglas County Jail. The charge resulted from an investigation by the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division, which found that between April 2016 and May 2016, Glenn possessed bulk containers of liquid that appeared to be soap bearing counterfeit...
