TOPEKA - (March 4, 2020) - Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt and other state attorneys general have agreed to a nationwide settlement framework that would require the country's largest manufacturer of generic opioids to set aside $1.6 billion to address opioid-fueled addiction costs. However, the company's recently announced plans to file bankruptcy make final settlement uncertain and will delay any payment for an undetermined amount of time.
