The two-time winner of the Pulitzer Prize and publisher of the Emporia Gazette is perhaps the state's best-known journalist. So famous, in fact, that the University of Kansas named its journalism school in White's honor. This year, KU marks the milestone anniversary of White's birth with several events, including the release of a new film about White by KU professor and director Kevin Willmott.
