TOPEKA – (May 8, 2018) – In response to a letter from 37 state and territorial attorneys general, Facebook has provided information to the states regarding its data privacy policies, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said today. In a letter dated May 7, Facebook provided a response to issues raised in the letter sent by the attorneys general in March. Facebook also disclosed that more than 647,000 Kansans may have had their information improperly shared with Cambridge Analytica and other third parties. Approximately 2,700 Kansas users who had installed the “thisisyourdigitallife” application on their accounts were affected.
