TOPEKA – (September 26, 2018) – Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt today announced that his office has charged 10 individuals in seven counties with Medicaid fraud and related charges as part of an enforcement sweep. The criminal charges against the 10 defendants allege that while working as a nurse, a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), the individuals committed Medicaid fraud, stole narcotics and/or mistreated dependent adults while the defendants were working in health care facilities or board-and-care facilities that receive Medicaid funding.
