TOPEKA – (November 22, 2019) – A Washington state man selling jewelry has been permanently banned from doing business in Kansas and ordered to refund nearly $7,000 to a Kansas consumer after being found in violation of Kansas consumer protection laws, Attorney General Derek Schmidt said. Kurt Miller, of Sequim, Washington, who did business as Gold Rush Jewelry & Coin, has been permanently enjoined from doing business in Kansas. Miller was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $6,693 to a Kansas consumer, as well as pay a civil penalty and reimburse the attorney general’s office for the cost of its investigation.
